The CA Promise Program, known at Mt. SAC as Promise+Plus, is a combination of financial and support services to help first-time, college students be successful in their first two years of college. Promise+Plus provides a variety of financial benefits including money for textbooks and school supplies, free parking permits, campus dining cards, and much more! The Mt. SAC Promise+Plus Program does not pay for tuition. However, 76% of Mt. SAC students get their fees waived by qualifying for the Promise Grant/Fee waiver by submitting the financial aid application. The program is for California Residents/AB540 eligible, first-time college students, that have never attended college*Dual Enrollment, Special Admit, and Articulation students may participate.
There are only two ways to participate in Promise. New students must start at Mt.
SAC during the Summer term through one of two Summer Programs. Current credit, Mt. SAC students that are in their second semester of college from
the following programs may be eligible to participate: Rising Scholars, DREAM, REACH Guardian Scholars, Noncredit/School of Continuing Education.
